I don't want much this christmas, but there is just one thing I need.. thirty-eight year-old singer songwriter, Mariah Carey. Remembering days where this artist went through her physical and emotional breakdown, with members of boyband Westlife staying down her top in awe at how she manages to stay perking by tucking them into her armpits, you may have missed something and seen that Mariah Carey completely reinvented herself. 2005 and the release of the 'Emanicipation of Mimi' album made every males christmas wish a worldwide celebrity once again, although once people see you as healthy they're bound to jump at the chance to knock you back down again. "Slut," ... Read the complete review

I have just listened to the album and it's fantastic! It's her best album yet! Three years since the release of the biggest selling album of 2005, The Emancipation of Mimi, Mariah returns to centre stage with what is shaping up to be the best album of her career so far and I must say that it has been well worth the wait. Included on the album is Touch My Body which is her fantastic new release in the UK, although i am not a fan of the video of mariah in various skimpy little outfits. Other tracks on the album include I'm That Chick, Cruise Control , Heat, I Wish You Well, I Stay In Love, Side Effects and Bye Bye. I would recommend this to anyone, if you a Mariah fan or ... In 2005 the music world was astonished that the supposed biggest selling female artist of all time returned to the top of the charts after her spectacular fall from grace and it deservedly gave her the title of the greatest comeback of 2005. So, continuing with that very comeback, and the theme of being freed from control and restraint that was stated on 'The Emancipation of Mimi', Mariah Carey returns with the follow up to her undeniably successful (over five singles released, one being the biggest selling of 2005) comeback album. During this time she won three grammy awards and has been in her acting shoes again (there's hope this time), and she has also ... Read the complete review

I have always been somewhat indifferent to Mariah Carey, her music has the ability to inspire or make me yawn. This is her latest album and is a somewhat return to form. After a couple of dud albums, she needed to pull out all the stops and get back on track. Who is she: American singer with an incredible vocal range, at her peak in the nineties. Married and divorced her manager, she only lets herself be photographed from one side of her face! On this album: There are quite a few collaboartions as Mariah tests the water with Damian Marley for the smooth reggae tinged 'Cruise Control'. Her vocals are ripe as ever, but she is ... Only one thing really needs to be said about this album. Its not as good as the Emancipation of Mimi. Mariah described the Emancipation of Mimi as a main meal and E=MC2 as dessert. That's exactly what the album was, sweet but not something that would really fill you up. I didn't think the album was terrible, I was just disappointed that it wasn't on the same level. The first single released from the album "Touch my Body" is undoubtably catchy with its sweet melody and Mariah's flawless falsetto layered on top however what I really wanted to hear is Mariah bang out those top notes. In her last album "Stay The Night", "Circles" an ... Read the complete review

Great bleak atmosphere maintained throughout.

Well-executed and well-sequenced progressive doom metal.
