I really don't have a clue when or where I bought Led Zeppelin's Early Days CD because it's been sat around in my cupboard for year's just gathering dust. Every time I go in there I always flick past it without giving it a second look because the thin gold writing on the black background of the CD's spine doesn't stand out enough. Today was different, I picked up the CD straight away and without reading the edge, I looked at the cover instead and instantly recognised the four spacemen looking out from the clear CD case (Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Jones and John Bonham). The album consists of Led Zeppelin tracks dating from 1968 to 1971 and ... Read the complete review

Early Days: The Best of Led Zeppelin really is theultimate collection of Led Zeppelin's numeruous hits over the years. It was released back in Novemember 2009 and the album contains 13 superb tracks. I bought this CD for £12 from HMV along with the Later Days album also released What I love about this album is that every song really is just brilliant. The album itself is a mixture between hard rock, folk rock and blues rock. This gives the album some real diversity which is what I like mos about it. You have for example, "Good times, bad times" and there is "Stairway to heaven" on the same album which is truly great! The album really is ... Read the complete review

A good collection of songs from a great band - Advantages: Amazing songs, Varied musical styles - Disadvantages: A 13 track CD can't possibly fully represent a band such as Zeppelin

I was torn between 4 stars and 3 and decided to give it 3 because I really wouldn't like to steer anyone wrong by getting them to think this is a great CD. It is decent, and thats it. Just decent. Led Zeppelin is a great band, lets get that point across right away. But the producers of the two CD's named Led Zeppelin's greatest hits volumes one and two gave themselves the dubious task of condensing such a great, and influention rock band into just 23 songs (13 earlier days, 10 latter). Its just not possible. I guess if you just like the song "Stairway to Heaven" and are a rather casual fan, this does the job. But for those of us who are serious fans ... Read the complete review

Led Zeppelin at their very best can at last be found on one CD. From Good times bad times right through to Stairway to heaven can be enjoyed with this cleverly arranged thirteen-track tribute to Plant? Page, Jones and Bohnam. "Once I pressed play I was utterly inspired from beginning to end" said one Led Zepp fan. With well over an hour playing time this item would be a bargain at most high-street prices, so do yourself a favor and purchase this dream-come-true today. ... Read the complete review
