This and the albums African Holocaust and True Democracy really put Steel Pulse on the map as a great reggae band - I'd go as far as saying they are the best reggae to have ever come out of the UK. Premium Review Earth Crisis - Steel Pulse: Classic British reggae album (285 words)

Rating:

Earth Crisis was not the most critically acclaimed album by Birmingham roots reggae band Steel Pulse but it's as good as they come in my eyes. Originally released in 1984, it followed a bit of a poor period for the band where their classic roots sound of the 70s was temporarily lost. This album shows a return to form, tracks like Roller Skates, the title track Earth Crisis and Grab Education are legendary. The Resignation - Rx Bandits
Brilliant use of guitars, excellent vocals, and hugely powerful drum beats. This hour of music just doesn't seem to last long enough.

Santi - The Academy Is
One track is excellent and a couple more are reasonably enjoyable. Poorly produced, too many things going on at once within the sound.

Rise Or Die Trying
In small doses the music of Four Year Strong is quite enjoyable. Hearing the same overly upbeat track eleven times over is my idea of hell.

Island Fire - Solabeat Alliance
Some interesting ska punk music is on display here. Not as good as the 'Rise On Up' EP, the live energy has not here been caught.

Interlopers - Fall The Rise
The sound is sometimes quite interesting. The music is messy, the bands members possess a severe lack of musical ability.

Halfway Between Here And There - Rx Bandits
An excellent album blending Ska and Pop Punk to perfection. Better RX Bandits albums have been released than this.

Controversy Loves Company - Audition
Hardcore - 2005

Chuck - Sum 41
An excellent change in sound for Sum 41, superb use of guitars. Fans of the bands Pop Punk sound may not appreciate this album quite so much.

Anhedonia - Graduate
Pop - 2007
