Advantages: Understated, Disturbing Lyrics

Disadvantages: Some Tracks Sound Dated

Easy Action was Alice Cooper’s second album and it shows the group starting to find the style that would bring them so much success.

The songs on the album cover a number of styles with the common denominator being the sinister undertones of the lyrics.

“Still No Air”, with its interesting take on West Side Story lyrics, contains within it an idea that the group would develop later on the School’s Out album.

Of all the songs “Return Of The Spiders” is the most obvious sign of the direction and the style of their future hit singles.

Well worth a listen if you want to understand the group’s roots.
