I got this album ages ago, i'd heard Black Jesus and couldn't believe it was Everlast, back from the dead, (well House of Pain anyway)! I was seriously into HoP when they first appeared on the scene about 12-13 years ago. The only track most people have ever heard is "Jump Around", which although is an excellent tune, it never did the band justice, as thay did so many superior tracks ! I still listen to my old HoP tapes, (Yep, i said tapes not CD's), and still find them great to listen to without them seeming dated ! (The sign of a quality band is often the timeless aspect of the music they produce!). Eric Shroder, or Everlast as ... Read the complete review

Ex house of pain rapper, Eric Shroders group everlast are a rare treat from the nu-metal genre. I was a big fan of house of pain, and so i thought i might as well get eat at whitlys. I wasn't suprised with it's excellence, after all what it's like, won a grammy, and for good reason. Its an amazing song. There current single at the moment Black Jesus is also on the albulm, and its again is a very good song. Everlast also teamed up with carlos santana on the amazing track babylon feeling, which is quite a heavy guitar track, they also team up with cee-lo on we are all going to die, another great song. There are 13 tracks on the alblum in ... Read the complete review

Everlast also known as Whitney Ford and Erik Schrody is singer, songwriter and rapper on 'Eat at Whitney's'. His last single 'What it's like' was Grammy nominated and a chart hit. This album draws from blues, rock, folk and classical as well as it does from his hip-hop roots. Everlast have even used Carlos Santana on the track 'Babylon Feeling' which is a fairly heavy rock track with great guitar licks. 'We're all gonna die' has a nice melody and features the high-pitched backing vocals of Cee-Lo. Out of the 13 tracks only 3 of them are what you would call rap tracks. The rest feature Everlast strumming and picking away at his ... Read the complete review

Witty, scathing lyrics. Gorgeous arrangements. Classical-rock fusion.
Voice is not to most people's taste, very different from her earlier work
