drumming ("Imperial", "We go down slowly rising" - although the tunes are fine), which sounds like it could even be a drum machine. Beware if you like Primal Scream's later stuff - this is quite different. It's not at all like "Screamadelica", and it doesn't sound like the heavily-influenced-by-Rolling-Stones stuff either. It's more like 1980s indie pop. This album isn't as highly produced as "Screamadelica", which can mean that singer Bobby Gillespie sounds a bit on the fey side at times, (I never said out of tune!) but songs such as "Aftermath" and "Gentle Tuesday" are such good ...

this album. On the whole, this album will have tracks on it that nearly everyone will recognise, even if they do not know much about Primal Scream . This album is nearly ten years old but it's just as good today as it was then. For those who are out of their teens, this will prove to be a sentimental journey back to those years when you were a little younger, a little more carefree and you knew how to dance (or you thought you did)! ...

Well, in the earley ninties musical boundaries were defined, and you liked one sort of music. That was untill this lot came aloung. This is the sound of a band on something, and enjoying it. Starting with the with a acoustic tune that feels good, but a little different it can't prepare you for what is ttoo come. A sonic assualt noless! The bass takes over from the second song into the album, and the result is astounding. The bass pounds and effects and samples come to the fore. But this is STILL an indie album. The samples aren't of the instruments, they are still played by the group, and bobby Gillespie's vocals are infrequent, but effective. They're not ...
