It was to prove to be the last album with the original line up but for Grant Nicholas and Feeder it would prove to be the one that finally broke them into the main stream. It was just before they recorded the follow up to this album that drummer Jon Lee committed suicide, leaving the legacy of Feeder’s best album behind. That was afterwards though and before hand Feeder were still looking for that elusive album to give them a taste of chart success. Before this album they really had a core fan base and this was the perfect album to build on that and gain a number of new fans, whilst keeping the older fans happy. They adopted a slightly different style to their ... Read the complete review

Feeder may well have come to some attention over the death of their drummer Jon Lee by suicide. Sadly this came at a time the Welsh/Japanese band were starting to et some real success. ?Echo Park? is the album that really helped break the band into mainstream British rock and chart success. It is Feeder?s third full length LP, it does show a slight progression in their sound and a move into a more chart friendly pop-rock. This album spawned the top five hit ?Buck Rogers?, and several other singles, but the consistence of much of the album really shows off how many others could have been released. It is a simple, nice and easy album to listen to. A safe bet for many ... Read the complete review

Released in 2001, 'Echo Park' is the third studio album from Feeder; a twelve track construction of music featuring such infectiously catchy single releases as 'Buck Rogers' and 'Seven Days in the Sun' also. The album has a run time of just over 45 minutes in length and a strong 45 minutes of music it is too. The 'Echo Park' album consists of powerful guitar riffs a plenty, some super drumbeats, and the excellent vocal tone of front man Grant Nicholas is always a strong sound to hear. After the release of this album the line-up of Feeder was to change due to the suicide of the bands original drummer Jon Lee, this therefore resulted in a change in sound and direction for ... "Echo Park" starts with a hint of a psychedelic sound: "Standing on the edge", the first track, manages to mix druggy, paranoid lyrics with futuristic, spacey sound affects ("love's the antidote we need"). There's also some head-banging guitars which burst in from time to time to remind us that Feeder can sound like a rock band, too. In fact this song is typical of the entire album, which has all of these elements - psychedelia, harmonious pop, rock. ...which must be why I enjoy it so much. The big single from the album is "Buck Rogers", which is after all the song that brought Feeder to my attention. ... Read the complete review

Echo Park being the name of feeders latest offering, and I have to say there are is a real mix of music in this album, but we do get the usual fast paced guitars and drums as usual which makes this album superb to listen to it is one of those where if you feel like it you can jump around trashing your room to it or lay back and chill out to. Here is a rundown of all the tracks: Standing on the edge: This song is the first of many good ones to come, this song is a bit slower than most of the others as the start of the album is pretty slow, but this doesn?t take anything away from the song it?s self. Buck Rogers: Well what do I have to say about ... Read the complete review
