Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace/ I used to listen to the foo fighters a while back, but didn't hear much of them again until recently when their new album (number 6) was released. Im not going to lie, I was hesitant about the purchase, but I paid my £12.99 and got on with it. I listened to it as soon as I got home and I was not dissapointed. The Pretender/ This track was pre-released before the album, so you could say that I bought the album based on this one song. This may have been the chosen pre-release, but personally I believe there are better tracks than this on the album. May have been a clever marketing ploy so not to dissapoint; ... Released: 21th December 2007 Genre: Rock Total Length: 51:03 Price: £7.99 - iTunes Shop Rating: 9/10 I recently became a great lover of the Foo Fighters. Many people think there music is too over the top and Grunge, but it isn't. Rock has to be the most popular music of this day and age, played in shops in the malls, and played in movies and by the people who love it. The Foo Fighters have produced some excellent songs, which are all found on this CD, making it really worth the purchase. This is the sixth studio album by the Foo Fighters, and having sold 135,685 CD copies in the first week when it was released, the album debuted ... Read the complete review

Foo Fighters: Echoes,Silence,Patience and Grace. A superb album by The Foo Fighters it is the 6th album released by them. Released in september 2007 the opening track ' The Pretender' was a big hit. Dave Grohl was inspired to write this album by his daughter violet. Dave Grohl:Lead vocals, guitarist, piano. Taylor Hawkins:Drumer, backing vocals. Nate Mendel: bassist. Chris shiflett:Guitarist, backing vocals. 1.)The pretender: a totally amazing song! i dont think that the Foo Fighters could have done better than this song its perfect and the video is smashing. 2.)Let it die: this is a lighter song than The pretender ... Here comes the sixth studio album by who many consider as one of, it not the, biggest rock band on the planet at the moment - The Foo Fighters. But how does "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" fair with it's predecessors? Released in September 2007 after a couple years away just playing every venue in the world it seemed, the album was greeted with great anticaption. Opening track "The Pretender" was the first single taken from the album, and despite it getting almost religiously overplayed on stations such as Radio 1 it's still worth a listen as it is a genuinely top track. The second single from the album, "Long Road to ... Read the complete review

When he formed the Foo Fighters out of the remnants of Nirvana back in 1995 not even Dave Grohl could have foreseen what was to come for them. Now 12 years on they are just about to release their 6th Studio album and things couldn’t be better. They are one of if not the best band in the world at the moment and seem to be getting better with every release. The release of Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace sees the Foo fighters expand on an already impressive collection of tracks and certainly stands them in good stead to increase their reputation. One thing that seems to have been consistent throughout the bands 6 studio albums and other releases is the ... Read the complete review
