Possibly apt for anyone who has endured a break up with lyrics such as 'you don't know what you've got 'til its gone' and 'it's not you its me' both worn out cliches yet still everyone's heard them at one time or other, and they still work. Released in 1997, when at the drive in were a four piece band 'el gran orgo' is one of the most interesting things i have ever heard. Very distinct sounds, some not what you would quite expect from at the drive in this six track (seven if you count a little interlude in the middle, which is quite scary) masterpiece. Obviously this isnt as developed lyrically and as well produced as 'relationship of command' is, yet it is still a mindblowing set of songs.
