Acoustic guitar flourishes are incorporated perfectly into the generally slow, thunderous black metal performance, and the song never ceases to move logically on, before ending in a section comparable (but superior) to something Opeth might have done around the same time. Fantastic Songs which will ammuse you for hours ....

Great songs None really

Highly inventive, a perfect balance between polka and black metal elements. Can seem ludicrous at first.

Bold and varied death metal epic. Too sprawling and changeable.

Great example of the early Swedish death metal sound. Few original ideas, and lacking individuality.

An excellent rock album, fantastic from start to finish. Some may be put off by the musical change in direction that Avenged Sevenfold took here.
