Cream - Anthems
by SJ_The_man - written on 16/03/01 (Useful, 104 readings)
Rating:
This is a great CD and is ideal for me because it has loads of the club tracks I like, it features: -Kenkraft 400, Zombie Nation -Paul Van Dyke, We Are Alive -CRW, Lovin' -Mauro Picotto, Komodo Plus much more. Most of the tracks on this CD are mixes by well-known DJs. It is available from most music stores at about 16 ...
Cream - Anthems
by lifesucks - written on 25/02/01 (Useful, 46 readings)
Rating:
Cream have been running successfuly for many years and it has expanded out to many other events and even to Ibiza. In the last few there has been the appearance of an annual release of the best beats for the last year. It is basically just a rival to the Minstry of Sound or Gatecrasher annuals. This year (near to the beginning of 2001) was no different and out came Cream Anthems 2001. Priced at £15.99 it was quite reasonable for it's 41 tracks of pure dance and trance from the club on 2CD's. It certainly struck you when you saw it with it's purple and gold case and maybe that's why I bought it having never bought a Cream album before. It all came in a ...
Disco Kandi Vol.3
by Caliente - written on 09/09/01 (Useful, 205 readings)
Rating:
Hed kandi deserve awards for their compilations. They're always bang on target, combining some of the best commercial tracks with some less well known amazing tunes. The third in their very popular disco kandi series, showcasing funky house and US garage, is no different, and if you're bored with hearing the same stuff over and over, you might do worse than listen to this. Lets face it, the compilation market is overloaded, and to find an album that is consistently fantastic is rare. Modern classics like ATFC's "bad habit" sit beautifully beside the latin house stomper "pasilda" by afro medusa, and lesser known tracks with a funky bassline to carry ...
Products similar to Electric 80s
Urban Discipline - Biohazard
Greater variety, offering some great punk, faux-metal and faux-rap stuff or sumptin'.
Within each style, the songs are repetitive.
Uncivilization: Limited Edition - Biohazard
Greater variety than is customary for late Biohazard.
Too much emphasis on guest performers, and a disappointing nu-metal trend overall.
The Final Conflict - Jerry Goldsmith - Soundtrack
Grade A Jerry Goldsmith magnificence
Apart from some more suspenseful moments, none at all
Tales From The B-side - Biohazard
Greater variety than the studio albums, with a few more punk offerings.
Remixes only make bad songs worse.
State Of The World Address - Biohazard
Firmly establishes the template Biohazard sound.
Greater rap influence will deter some hardcore punk fans.
No Holds Barred: Live - Biohazard
A strong collection of songs in an energetic performance.
Punk songs aren't as well represented, and are rushed through.
New World Disorder - Biohazard
Plenty of breakdowns for hardcore mosh fans.
Dull, monotonous and lacking in energy.
Damien Omen 2 - Soundtrack
A good horror score in fantastic presentation
Too reliant on the first Omen score for much of the time
Alien - Soundtrack
Complex, intellectual and a great horror score
But, as horror scores go, suffers from same problems of not being a very "nice" listen
Aliens: The Deluxe Edition - Soundtrack
Incredibly powerful and atmospheric, brilliant composition and execution
None
