Throughout this melancholic album, I feel that the artist gave off a strong vibe of self-pity, in his lyrics, voice and whole set up. Some might say, that's only natural coming from Wolverhampton! Either way, I'm not overly keen on listening to his vented feelings and can't say that this album is one I'll be sticking on my Mp3 player.

Scott Matthews is one of the many slightly depressing acoustic guitar players to grace the British pop world at the moment. The albu cover of a dark sky kind of gives it away, with this album you get the feeling that the artist hasn't really moved on from writing depressive little ditties in his bedroom as a teenager. At times the guy shows quite a talented voice, it's relatively dark and deep at certain times but it's usually then followed up by an outburst of high pitchness that really grates my ears up.
