This CD is available from Amazon UK for less than £5 and as an Elvis fan I have to say that it is an absolute bargain. The CD features all 31 Elvis singles that made it to number 1 in the charts in either Britain or America. Although the title of the album is 30 #1 HITS, there are 31 because just as the album was being planned the Elvis Vs. JXL remix of A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION hit the charts, reaching number 1, and so this of course had to be included too. I guess that '31 #1 HITS' doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

The songs featured here are the cream of the Elvis crop. We start off with HEARTBREAK HOTEL, which was one of his earliest singles on RCA records, after he had moved there from the smaller Memphis label SUN, where he had gotten his start. We move through other 1950s songs such as HOUND DOG and LOVE ME TENDER (the title track from his first movie), into many 1960s classics such as SURRENDER and RETURN TO SENDER, and of course into the 1970s with songs such as THE WONDER OF YOU and BURNING LOVE. The album ends with the aforementioned A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION remix.

This is a fantastic album, bringing together all of Elvis' top hits. It is recommended for Elvis fans and non-fans alike and at less than £5 why not buy it as a treat for someone in your life who doesn't really know Elvis and show them what they are missing!
