... 1972. This does not mean that the material on this album is of low quality. far from it. There is a real country feel to many of the songs, such as HELP ME MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT and SYLVIA. I WAS BORN ABOUT 10,000 YEARS AGO is a nice mix of rock and country. The only song that I really don't like on the album is Elvis' version of the Beatles' classic HEY JUDE. During Elvis Presley's career a lot of albums were released which were really just grab-bags of material he had recorded through his career. Few albums were recorded with an original concept in mind. ELVIS NOW, despite the title, was one of the grab-bags, featuring material recorded between 1969 and 1972. This does not mean that the material on this album is of low quality. far from it. There is a real country feel to many of the songs, such as HELP ME MAKE IT THROUGH THE NIGHT and SYLVIA. I WAS BORN ABOUT 10,000 YEARS AGO is a nice mix of rock and country.
