 ... Not really to my taste as far as production styles go, but there are still some tracks of merit to be found here, you just have to dig a little deeper than usual to find them. There was very little that jumped out to me on first listen here, but repeat listens have made the record grow on my a little - 'Tight Connection to my Heart' is pure 80's Dylan, & a bizarre sight to behold, but it's still worth hearing as a period piece. Stripped down, these songs could have been his strongest set since the mid 70's...more

Not even Bob Dylan was safe during the 80's - hear it here in all it's glory - reverb drenched drums, soul tinged backing vocals, electronic effects, studio crafted pop? If you're thinking how cool it would be to hear Dylan in this environment, by all means rush out & buy this album. Not really to my taste as far as production styles go, but there are still some tracks of merit to be found here, you just have to dig a little deeper than usual to find them.
