Definitely one of the best albums I have heard in 2006. I have quilted this new CD called Empire in a very clever way - I have quilted it up against the side of the stereo with a rainbow straight line to keep the sound of the disc very good. In a perfect allowance of using my ears for an hour I can say Kasabian is a great band to listen to because their music sounds like a fantastic control gang and it simply opens your ears to the types of musicians they would be sounding like, in my view they sound like Oasis, and they sound a bit like a choral society. The Oasis band I saw was belonging of unhealthy musicians who smoked cigarettes by the stage for no reason ... Read the complete review

It has been a long time since I wrote review so I hope this goes alight. Lets just cut to the chase. I thought I would hark back to one of my favourite type of reviews, the album review. Since I last did one of my reviews for DooYoo I have become interested in the new wave of bands. The likes of The Feeling, Keane and Scissor Sisters are reviews that I no doubt will do in the coming months but for this review Kasabian’s latest offering Empire will provide the viewer with written joy. ~ Brief History ~ Kasabian first hit the big time with the album Kasabian (wonder how long it took to think that up) released September 2004 and is the ... When Kasabian broke onto the scene in 2004 the Leicestershire band seemed to have some pretty special qualities. Their self titled debut album generated quite a bit of excitement and the band became somewhat of an overnight sensation. This put them in much the same position as Razorlight and like Johnny Borrell and the boys, Kasabian had to prove they weren’t going to be a one album wonder. So this year they returned to the studio and the resulting album, Empire was released in the UK during August. The worry was that they couldn’t get close to the debut albums success like many before them, but Serge, Tom and the Kasabian boys obviously had other ideas. ... Read the complete review

"Too much information, well I said your good for nothing", the opening lyrics to a fantastic album from the Leicester band Kasabian. This band are on the rise, this is the second album after the first album selfnamed Kasabian, this album has took a massive step foward with many great songs such as 'Empire', this song kicks the album off in great style with amazing guitar riffs, great lyrics and feels like a great anthem. If i had to compare them to a similar band it'd have to be Oasis, there music is great and the lyrics and rhythms in the songs make them both enjoyable over and over again. The album named 'Empire' is backed up well by the songs, it feels like ... Read the complete review

King Of Rock / Tougher Than Leather - Run D.M.C.
Hip-Hop & Rap - East Coast - 2006
Conscience - The Beloved
Some timeless songs, mellow voice of Jon Marsh, some great moments
Some dated electro synth, drum machine effects.
Mes Courants Electriques - Alizée
Pop Rock - 2004
Kill Or Be Killed - Biohazard
Those deterred by rap no longer be afraid.
Those deterred by repetitive, breakdown-heavy nu-metal will be... well, deterred.
Fenix - Alta Densidad
Pleasantly symphonic.
A distinctly average Kamelot copy-cat.
The Endless Agony - Anachronia
Exceptional guitars and vocals, and the other guys aren't bad either.
A few later tracks fail to stand out quite as much.
Too Many Freaks Not Enough Stages - Pama International
Some excellent laid back Ska tunes.
There are only eight tracks on the album.
Biledegradable - Bile
Saves having to buy the previous E.P.
Not much of interest, and deviations are unsatisfying.
Horrorscope - Chinchilla
Urdo Gerstenmeyer is a good guitarist, not that he'll let you hear that.
Bland and samey power metal of the less exciting kind.
Organic Halucinosis - Decapitated
Good technically and still quite aggresive, Day 69 is a good track
A bit unmemorable and a change in style
