Rating:

of privileges being a drag and like a choir. It has a loud guitar in the background and the slight use of their DJ. I’ve seen Incubus live this year at Brixton Academy. This was the opening song to their set and it was amazing. It has a very catch beat and an up tempo rhythm. 2: Nowhere Fast (4.30) This has a long introduction to the song. The lyrics are hard to work out without looking through the lyric sheet. It looks at the directions we take on the journey of life. About where are we heading in life. It could be in a relationship or a job perhaps. It talks about the anticipation we have for something and would we really care if something changed and ...

Make Yourself - Incubus

Premium Review How They've Matured.... (314 words)
by MaynardRob - written on 31/07/01 (Useful, 94 readings)
Rating:

My title says it all, it's incredible how much Incubus have matured since their first LP "S.C.I.E.N.C.E." with "Make Yourself". The band have mellowed out dramatically, yet not lost any of the quality from their previous album. And unlike the first, pretty much every track can be appreciated - there is no filler material. Very hard to define Incubus' style, but this album contains feel-good songs using rock, electronica and some rap. Brandon Boyd's vocals are very good, his voice has improved alot since "S.C.I.E.N.C.E.", and he is using a different style, different from the fast-paced one he used when Incubus were starting ...

A great early power metal album. Soon subjugated by more accomplished releases.

Some great tracks, innovative A bit over-hyped

The best metal/hard rock album in time? maybe Allegedly ''the sell out album''

Nu Metal - 2007

Nu Metal - 2002

Heavy Metal - 2005

The New America - Bad Religion
Greg Graffin's time to shine. Melodic focus becomes a little dull.

Tested - Bad Religion
An excellent live album, fantastic from start to finish. The songs all sound very similar, this may put some off listening.

Stranger Than Fiction - Bad Religion
Fine return to form, without selling out. Abandons the experiments of recent years in favour of a more commercially viable sound.

Share My World - Mary J. Blige
R&B & Soul - Soul - 1999

Recipe For Hate - Bad Religion
some really good songs, good to see them do slow songs too not all of them are amazing

No Substance - Bad Religion
A number of excellent tracks reside within the 42 minutes of this album. The band has recorded and released better albums than this.

Growing Pains - Mary J. Blige
R&B & Soul - Soul - 2007

Gray Race - Bad Religion
The album consists of a number of excellent punk rock tracks. Not so strong as 'No Control' or 'Against the Grain'.

Generator - Bad Religion
Good title track, interesting and questioning lyrics A little too repetive at times, brief.
