An improvement over its less memorable predecessor, 'The Erosion of Sanity' is Gorguts' masterpiece and one of the most creative albums of early 1990s death metal. Luc Lemay and Sylvian Marcoux produce some of the most memorable guitar riffs in death metal outside of Death, while also frequently indulging in some seriously weird guitar theatrics to create an unsettling, oddball atmosphere. Hard rock to the full None Superb live versions of metallica classics with a diffrence Little bit too much Orchestra sometimes, not often though Ambitious mix of styles that work excellently together. Occasionally fails to cohere. A good slow song, and some catchy choruses. Mostly a less exciting version of its predecessors. Great use of orchestration to supplement, great heavy metal songs.
