A pretty decent dance compilation here, spread over three CDs, so you are instantly getting value for money. The album lives up to its name, spanning dance hits from over the last fifteen years. I have handpicked some ones which are worth a mention. Highlights 'Alright (Brad Carter Remix)' by Red Carpet is not widely known, but is a superb track. Awash with the sound of summer, the gentle organ riff builds and builds until it feels it can push no further. The track is iced off with a glorious female vocal, this will make you feel positive and wish every day the sun was shining. The old school vibes of Reel 2 Real's 'I Like To ... For anyone who has more than a passing interest in house music, Positiva is a record label to be reckoned with. The Calling - Audiovision
Reasonable melodic hard rock, without the obligatory ballads.
Boring.
Sign In Please - Autograph
Van Halen fans may enjoy the inferior imitation.
There are many disadvantages.
Second Wind - Brian Auger
Jazz-rock fusion for fans, with talented performances from Auger.
Confused direction, and tedious.
Once Sent From The Golden Hall - Amon Amarth
Accessible and distinctive melodic death metal.
Longer songs tend towards repetition.
Fate Of Norns - Amon Amarth
Reasonably epic.
Dull and lacking in energy.
Contaminated - Atrocity
Skilled grindcore with satisfying death metal elements.
Songs were previously available in a more definitive form.
Concealed - Augury
Truly innovative and experimental progressive death metal that retains all its power.
Won't be to more traditional metal fans' tastes.
Breakfast In Biarritz - Arena
Pop - 2001
Avenger - Amon Amarth
More aggressive and exciting than its predecessor, with a fine performance all round.
Some of the same old problems remain.
