I bought this album off the basis of hearing their single 'Blue'. The album only cost me a few quid, but I still felt I had been short-changed. Who are they: Italian trio Eiffel 65 specialise in euro dance and favour the vocoder in most of their tracks to create robotic sounding vocals. On this album: You get the big hit 'Blue Da Ba Dee' which was a worldwide smash. It is the strongest track on here, with the insanely catchy chorus. 'Move Your Body' was less irritating and utilised a strong synth riff to good effect, yet retained the trademark vocodered vocals. That was it for their hits in the UK. 'The Edge' is a fast paced ... I purchased this album almost as soon as it was released and I've never regretted it. Fans of the massive hit single 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)' will know what kind of sound to expect from this album. The Italian group are huge promoters of electronic music and for that reason they tend to use a piece of equipment called a 'Vocoder'. This is used to warp the lead singer's voice, giving it an electronic 'spacey' kind of sound. The excellent instrumentals and great beats will have any Techno fan dancing around their house in seconds.
