Advantages: Some great catchy songs

Disadvantages: All a little bit 'samey'

'Exclusive' is R'n'B artist Chris Brown's second album and this Forever edition contains the hit single Forever, as well as Kiss Kiss featuring T-Pain and most recently Supehuman, a very slow and meaningful track where he duets with Keri Hilson, who may be best remembered for singing with Timbaland in his hot tune The Way I Are, a massive club hit in 2007.

The album features 20 tracks and consists of R'n'B and Hip Hop songs, where Chris also collaborates with Lil' Wayne, The Game and Will.I.Am to name but a few. The album has a great blend of slower ballads where Chris' finely tuned vocals shine through as he hits all the high notes, as well as more upbeat hits with killer melodies and beats.

Exclusive boasts endless catchy choruses and while it is highly commercial material, you can't really expect anything else given the artist's popularity, especially following Forever, probably my favourite song on the album (still, after listening to it hundreds of times!) which did exceptionally well in both the US and UK charts. Forever is uplifting and great to sing along to, complemented by the unique techno feel in the background.

Other great songs in my opinion include Kiss Kiss, Throwed and You - all of which have a fairly fast tempo and reflect an R'n'B style rather than the slower ballads which I am less keen on but great for the girls no doubt! With a couple of winning hits and a fair number of very good tunes and class vocals, not to mention a host of big name collaborations thrown in, Exclusive is a superb album. However, I will give it only 4 stars and not 5 because quite a few of the songs sound just a little bit too similar for my liking and sometimes I find it difficult to differentiate between songs! - not to say they are bad though, just at times a bit lacking in variety

Summary: R'n'B album of the year
