Advantages: Funky

Disadvantages: none

I first heard Jill Scott when i was watching MTV about 2 Years ago, and there was a song playing and it sounded cool, hip and funky all at the same time i was trying to find out the name of this artist.

I missed the name when the song finished, and i was gutted. Well, one day i was looking at some cds in virgin, i came across one by 'jill scott', i liked the look of it, and asked the assistant to let me preview it on those scary looking headphones they had scattered about the place. What a suprise when I heard the song i liked from mtv! I got the album there and then, when i got out side the shop i put it straight into my cd player and was dancing down the street to this funky sound. it was the live version and it was much more funky than the version i knew, and this was a great suprise. All the songs on the live album are songs with so much feeling and are upbeat, there is not a bad song on the album.

she can actually sing well live, and in this day and age is something to be happy about, as most of the artists around cant sing to save thier lives. she has fun with the people at the concert and this adds to the enjoyment of the album. I was suprised when i saw 'parental guidance' on the front of the cd. I discovered that this is a particular song that contains sexual references. She deals with it very well, asking any young children to leave the room. Very professional.

Jill is not just a fantastic singer but a good poet too. Its a double cd, and the second cd contains material that isnt present on her new album, which is a nice touch.

Id recommend this album to any self respecting soul/r&b, funkster around. Great stuff.

Never heard of her, but she sounds quite good! I'll have to have a look out for her.

I think that now this review has been revised, it is much more readable and concise. It lacks a bit of content, but nevertheless, a good opinion

I've read all of your reviews and they are of the same dire, dreadful and diabolical standard! You make a mockary of dooyoo; you see it as a pure money making scheme! With your writing skills I can't see you getting far. You've been a member 2 days and written 13 reviews, of which none read properly at all!
You manage to write whole paragraphs with one sentence, and the parts that do make sense I know you have gotten from else where! This isn't you work!
When you write a review that makes sense, I will stop posting this comment on it. I have used a different username to wrote these comments to prevent revenge rating, but dooyoo needs to be saved from users like you. 'User' just seems such an applicable term to you!
