The Prodigy - Experience (1992) Producer: Liam Howlett Jericho Music Reach (1/2/3/4) Wind it Up Your Love (Remix) Hyperspeed (G-Force Part 2) Charly (Trip into Drum and Bass version) Out of Space Everybody in the Place (155 and Rising) Weather Experience Fire (Sunrise Version) Ruff in the Jungle Bizness Death of the Prodigy Dancers (Live) The Prodigy has always been Liam Howlett and several cling-ons. Howlett is the driving force behind the band and from this debut onwards it has been made blatantly clear who is in charge of the creativity. While many people probably associate Keith ... This is the first prodigy album I bought, it also happens to be my favourite. Each track is a beautiful blend of drum n bass electronica and the whole album will make you just want to get up and dance. The best tracks on the album, in my opinion are 'Wind it up', 'Your love' and 'Out of space'. Out of space is a pretty popular Prodigy song and so even those who aren't familiar with the band will probably recognise it from being played in clubs. All the songs are really catchy and if you're into this genre of music you will probably love this album instantly. The Prodigy are one of the best bands in the world - their energy and enthusiasm comes ... Read the complete review

This is the album that projected 'The Prodigy' into the forefront of early nineties music. It is the quintessential collection of raw dance tunes that surfaced from the head of Liam Howlett. After hearing 'Fire' and 'Out of Space' I bought the album hoping that the rest of the album would be just as good. It far surpassed my expectations and is still one of my favourites. The CD hits the ground running with 'Jericho' and doesn't stop until you hit the last seconds of 'Death of the Prodigy dancers'. Before you know it you're listening through it again. Definitely a must for any alternative rave fans. ... Read the complete review

Experience is certainly the right word. Ah, those were the days, when an unsuspecting pop-buying public was promptly hit into orbit by a fearsome sound impossible to dance to but perilous to overlook. First and foremost, is The Experience a landmark album or a case of overkill? Did the charts really need a rave tune in its midst, bearing in mind the slew of half-baked imitations it would produce, or was it necessary to invade the consciousness of the sheltered-minded? What is for certain is that The Experience is by no means a faultless selection. Out Of Space for a start, a little inane with all those ragga choruses and helium-fuelled lyrics over a furious ... This being Liams first album, it reflects what he and the other memebers in the band were into at the time - pure, solid rave. It rocks, Out Of Space is excellent. Liam changes the mood of the track time and time again, with pretty raw edges to each change, but he gets away with it. Charly, trip into drum and bass version, has seen nearly all the original lyrics from the cat taken away, probably so people would stop giving the four hassle about being, "The Band That Killed Rave" - which we all know isn't true, no one said anything until the cash-in one hit wonders hit town. Liam Howlett did a great job mixing that one. As with all Liam's albums there is ... Read the complete review
