'Exploiting Dysfunction' is a difficult album to listen to, or even particularly like, and is clearly aimed more towards those with an interest in the technical side of music than those who enjoy its more simple pleasures. Still, there's enough decent music here to prevent the album from being too inaccessible on the whole, and any listeners with prior experience of the more wildly elaborate tendencies of grindcore or brutal death metal should find it a little easier to digest, as well as competitive.
