The album's opener 'You' is an up tempo 'wall of sound' Spector-esque track thats instantly hummable. The second song is a fantastic slow rock song 'The Answer's at the End', similar to 'Beware of Darkness'.
'This Guitar (Can't Keep From Crying), a semi-sequel of sorts to 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' is almost eactly the same, which makes you wonder why he bothered. Its got a 70's funky sound to it - but is a bit of a throwaway. Ooh Baby (I Know That I love You) is...more |

Most post-Beatles solo albums leave a lot to be desired, but for every 'Tug of War' theres a 'Plastic Ono Band'. George Harrison 'the Quiet One' spent most of his time in the fab four as a bit of an add-on. Not really flourishing as a songwriter until The White Album, Abbey Road and Let it Be, so it just goes to show that the majority of his early solo work is of a very high standard. My favourite albums by Harrison are his first double LP- 'All Things Must Pass' and his last, 'Brainwashed'. Punk songs are more aggressive and energetic than before. Hip hop and hardcore punk rock no longer successfully combined, but set apart.
Insect Song - Beyond The Embrace
Improved vocal style, and less exclusively derivative of melodeath bands. Songs lack the variety and energy of the previous album.
Demonic Electronic - Bile
The return of the darkness and evil. Not as varied as previous works.

You may know the original songs... ...but these covers are nothing special.

Crunchy, unpretentious old school death metal with great riffs and vocals Short, even for an EP

Original fusion of hardcore punk and hip hop that works quite well. Messier than later releases.
