Advantages: Showed what a star Moonie really was

Disadvantages: Showed how lacklustre Kenny Jones is

Pete Townshend has freely admitted that he was in the grip of drug paranoia when writing a lot of the music for this album, which, if you listen carefully, are verified in the words.

Quite a number of toe-tappy type tunes, not my favourite sort of Who music, but not unpleasant to listen to at all. "Did you steal my money?" being one for instance also shows Pete's suspicions about his friends and band members when he truly felt someone had nicked his money. I think he'd have found it if he'd blown his nose to be honest with you...

This is the effect that the eighties had on the Who, plus the very tight drumming of Kenny Jones. Pleasant, but God do they miss Moonie on here. I'm not knocking Jones, but the music doesn't have any dangerous edge at all without the maestro.

Pleasant and not threatening.

If you like 'em like that, that is..
