Advantages: Great Mix, Geniuine Fresh Nu-metal

Disadvantages: Maybe to soft for some metal fans

Lostprophets ? Best New British Band (Kerrang Awards) and I'm gonna tell you why, I've heard them live, they are amazing, everything you want from a stage performance.

Ok here is my run-down of the tracks. Obscure Intro the first track if you are wondering what's it all about ill tell you, it's a gaming arcade, and they are playing a legendry game Shinobi VS Dragon Ninja, which brings me on to nicely to number 2.

A nice new fresh nu-metal sound is heard through out the album, but this is defiantly one song that stands out, it's amazing. Rock, great singing, and a great guitar riff, Very Cool.

Next up is the title track, Thefakesoundofprogress. Another stunner as far as I'm concerned an oh-so nearly epic. Top Tune.

Track 4 is a minute and a half long interlude of these ghostly sounds some mean guitar shit and synthesised voices.

Track Five is a Four Letter Word, no its really called Five is a Four Letter word, just wanted to confuse you! Cool fresh rocking sound, I suppose that's why I like this group a lot, there isn't loads of rapping.

And She Told me to Leave is the next track, it?s kinda "rappy", but also blends well with rock, of the 16 and probably my least favourite.

Interlude #2 Track 7 Starts of with some weird sounds and some background talking then some synthesised stuff. It then fades out.

Next is Kobrakai, Nice tune some funky guitar playing and fast singing, with some heavier stuff towards the end, see what you think. I like it.

The Handsome life of swinging opens with some "gothic screaming" as I call it, not my kind of thing, it alternates between the gothic screaming and some mellowed out singing, its Ok...

The 3rd Interlude is some queit singing and a constant simple synthesised guitar riff. Nothing special.

A thousand apologies is what?s next and also what you should give if you don't bu
y this album. A cool rocky tune with some synthed stuff.

At 12 Is still laughing "Come take a look" starts out slowish till about 2 3rds through it, get a bit deeper, but still, a great tune.

13 is the 4th and final Interlude, pretty cool with some "scratching" and a bit of mean guitar stuff which fades out on a wah-wah.

Track 14 is Forsure, a great tune, reminds me a bit of "At the Drive in", what do you think? This song switches between cool and heavy kinda rock. A quality song, well sung.

Awkward is the penultimate song. Fast drumming, with a cool, if a bit samey guitar riff.

And finally Ode to Summer, another well sung song, a good mix between rock and "lyrical music".

This British group so far are pretty consistent and have a lot to offer, I wish them the best of look, and look forward to seeing them in concert soon.
Take it easy!
