Advantages: All the songs are brilliant

Fallen was the first album to be released from Evanescence. It combines rock with melody to make one of the best albums of the decade. Amy Lee is a stunning singer and hits all the notes whilst the band do a great job to back her. The songs combine vocals, guitars, bass and drums with a choir of many voices making the album have a distinctive haunting feel, while strings make the songs slightly orchestral yet very smooth! The combination of all these factors make Evanescence great and this a brilliant album!

Fallen
Great start to the album. This song symbolises what will come later, heavy guitar balanced by beautiful piano!

Bring Me To Life
This song is probably the best known song by Evanescence and for good reason. It begins with a piano riff and nice singing before the guitars kick it. Then follows a memorable chorus and the rest is history!

Everybody's Fool
Another fantastic song, it's hard to keep writing superlatives but this album is great and this song again is great! It opens with guitar arpegios and is catchy.

My Immortal
The defining song of Evanescence. All played on piano without the backing band, the song is tragic yet a masterpiece has been produced. Beautiful.

Haunted
As the name suggests, this song is haunting, but all the songs are a bit haunting so it's not a surprise that this song is too! The choir make a significant contribution in this song.

Tourniquet


Imaginary
A very choral piece with lots of string instruments making the song smooth and flowing. The piano is promentent and the singing great. The imaginary images are really funny and I like this song lots because of them!

Taking Over Me
Song starts with piano before leading to guitar. It is a consiliatory song.

Hello
A very sad song which the band do not play live. The song is a personal one to the band, and it touches the soul.

My Last Breath
An epic song that has the listener on edge! I suppose this song could be viewed as depressing but really I don't find this music depressing, it is so homophonic that there's lots of things to listen out for each time that you listen.

Whisper
Another epic song and an epic climax to the album! It features latin sung by the choir and sounds fantastic! Guitar is played well as can be expected, and this song summarises how good the whole album is!

In conclusion this album is stunning. The songs are fantastic and I have listened to this album so many times! It is an investment!
