Finch - a fabulous punk-emo band who have blown up hugely this year, releasing their supurb new album 'what it is to burn' and selling out the astoria and many other venues on thier UK tour. They are on one of my favourite record labels, Drive Thru Records along with many other great bands like Something Corporate and New Found Glory, and have amazing talent and energy with their music and live performances. I thurily enjoyed this EP, released 10/9/01, which includes the new single, Letters To You from the new album which is a brilliant song, more pop punk than all the others and has a cool video which can be seen on some music channels, Perfection Through Silence, which i think has such a cool guitar riff! and then two songs which are not on the latest released, Waiting- a cool fast song with great lyrics, and then New Kid- a melodic slow song, also with good lyrics.

This band are amazing live and play various songs from this EP and the new CD very well, getting very excited and into the music while onstage and give the fans their moneys worth and alot more in my opinion! The amazing and very great voiced backing singing from the lead guitarist Randy Strohmeyer topped the evening off for me, aswell as Nate Barcalow's supurb voice and hpyerness on the stage. Alex Pappas is a brilliant drummer as shown on the CDs, Alex Linares is a rad second guitarist as the two guitarist thrive off one another to make brilliant sounding techniques in their material, and finally Derek Doherty is a talented bass player!

If you already own this EP, i would 100% recomend Finch's new album, 'What It Is To Burn', which features the singles Letters To You and What It Is To Burn and lots more powerful and musically genious songs like Post Script, Grey Matter, Without You Here and many more which are all sooo good. I would also recomend Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Something Corporate, Brand New, The Used and Glassjaw if you liked Finch.

>To buy, this ep is available online at shops like amazon.com and maybe others.Cheers for reading my review and I hope I have made you decided to check Finch out if you haven't already because they rule!!
