Does this world famous lady really need an introduction? Here's one anyway for anybody who has never switched on a music channel:
Céline Dion is a Canadian pop singer/songwriter/performer born in Quebec. In 1990 she went worldwide with her first English speaking album but this is her fourth English-spoken album. It does not let her down, in fact it won her 2 Grammy's.
It's All Coming Back To Me Now
Because You Loved Me
Falling Into You
Make You Happy
All By Myself
Declaration Of Love
(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman
Dreamin' Of You
I Love You
If That's What It Takes
I Don't Know
River Deep, Mountain High
Call The Man
This is a fantastic blend of new and cover versions with the emphasis on the ballads with a backbone of rock for which Celine Dion is famous for. With some albums you find yourself skipping ahead but this album flows. My favourite track is Falling Into You as it is something that everybody can empathise with and have most likely experienced; it's a joyful song full of love. The emotion on this record is true and pure. It's not full of heartbreak but has a core of hope to it. The words matter yet the tune is not sacrificed to achieve this.
A feel good album that can be listened to or simply played in the background while life happens. There is nothing on this album to bring it's quality down nor does it intrude on you with it's power. I find this a well written well sung collection of songs with it's heart firmly in reality yet it allows for dreams and aspirations. My favourite Celine album; one which never get's boring and is not as predictable as some may think.
One of my favourite female solo artists, Celine has gone from strength to strength and her voice is unique, determined and at times mesmerising. This is one of her finest albums and here is what to expect on it:
Who is she:
A French-Canadian singer born in 1968, she has shifted over 155 million albums to date.
On this album:
It starts with a belter, 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' is epic in every sense of the word, coming in at over five minutes in length, it is the kind of track that would suit Meatloaf. (He did actually cover it). It starts slowly before building to a stunning crescendo with drum crashes, soaring vocals and slamming doors. You almost expect mirrors to shatter, that kind of thing! On a lighter note, 'Because You Loved Me' is a tender and warming ballad which shows Celine's soft vocals commanding the emotion. 'Falling Into You' might be the title of the album but it is not the strongest song. It is a drippy ballad which fails to stir much emotion and the melody is not that memorable.
'All By Myself' is a cover, allows Celine to reach scary new heights as she reaches for those high notes. It is a song to play when you have been jilted and are feeling all lost and empty. I also rate 'Call The Man' which is a cry for, well a man surprisingly enough.
Towards the end of the album Celine seems to be relying on weaker material. I was not fussed by 'I Don't Know' and 'Fly' and they never seemed to register with me
It is a perfect album for romantic evenings in or an album to play while trying to seduce a lady by the fireside. Celine's voice is beautiful and at times heartwrenching. Lovely!
Falling Into You by Celine Dion
How did I come across this album? I was rummaging through my mum's old cd's after she bought her new I-pod touch and asked me to load a few to get her started. When I came across Falling Into You by Celine Dion in the cd rack, I knew she would love this on her I-pod as we are both massive Celine Dion fans.
Celine Dion's fourth English album to be released is Falling into You on March 11, 1996. It won two Grammy's for 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Pop Vocal Album'. You must be thinking, wow this album must be good. And to top it off it was also an album that sold over 32 million copies worldwide and remained in that charts for over a year. Is that impressive or what?
1) It's All Coming Back To Me Now (7 minutes 37 seconds) - I challenge anyone to tell me they don't appreciate how amazing this song is. The musical introduction to the song is fantastic, and then, enter Celine's remarkable voice. The song is full of drama and passion. A perfect combination of soft moments and her belting voice. The lyrics are also fantastic. The song is quite long, but I enjoy listening to every single second of it. 10/10
2) Because You Loved Me (3 minutes 33 seconds) - A beautiful song with incredible lyrics. One of the slow numbers of the album. I love listening to this song any time I'm feeling a little bit down. For some reason it has a way of picking up my spirits. 9/10
3) Falling Into You (4 minutes 18 seconds) - Another slow song on the album and it is an incredible love song. A great song to have playing in the background. 8/10
4) Make You Happy (4 minutes 31 minutes) - This is a fairly upbeat number. It isn't my favourite of on the album as I don't believe it shows off her voice very well. A great album filler. 7/10
5) Seduces Me (3 minutes 46 seconds) - I can imagine this isn't popular with many people but I really love this song. It will never be a classic of hers but it is sung marvellously. Shows off a different side to her voice. 8/10
6) All By Myself (5 minutes 12 seconds) - This is a classic and will be extremely well known, particularly because of the film Bridget Jones Diary. If you want a good cry, put this on to listen to. I love singing it at the very top of my voice (even if I can't sing a note in tune). This song is truly amazing. 10/10
7) Declaration Of Love (4 minutes 20 seconds) - This is a personal favourite of mine. Definitely another song that I love singing my heart out to in the car, for the people driving past me to laugh at. It is such a happy, upbeat song. I love it! 10/10
8) You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman (3 minutes 41 seconds) - This is yet another classic by Celine Dion and another song that you love belting you heart out to, especially at karaoke. I adore her voice on this track. 10/10
9) Dreaming Of You (5 minutes 7 seconds) - A slower song on the album, but equally as good as the others. The music is very soft and I listened to this a lot whilst I was revising for my GCSEs. 8/10
10) I Love You (5 minutes 30 seconds) - Another lovely song from Celine Dion that adds to the number of songs on the album, and gives great value for money. It is a song with beautiful lyrics. I love you Celine. 7/10
11) If That's What It Takes (4 minutes 12 seconds) - Yet another song with amazing lyrics. Her voice is very gentle in parts of this song. I love the way in which it picks up in pace as the song continues. 8/10
12) I Don't Know (4 minutes 38 seconds) - I love the music in this song. It is so soothing. I enjoy listening to this song, but it isn't going to set the world on fire! 7/10
13) River Deep Mountain High (4 minutes 10 seconds) - This is my personal favourite on the album as it reminds me greatly of my Nan. I'm not going to pretend and say it is classic Celine Dion, because it isn't. But I love it. The tempo is fast to start with, but just continues to speed up. I think the song is perfect! 10/10
14) Your Light (5 minutes 12 seconds) - Perhaps my least favourite song on the album. I don't particularly like her voice on the song and I find it quite boring in comparison to the rest of the album. 6/10
15) Call The Man (6 minutes 8 seconds) - An incredible penultimate song. It is a wind down song for me, great for chilling out to. It is quite a long one, but sit back and enjoy. 8/10
16) Fly (2 minutes 58 seconds) - A great song to complete what I believe is an incredible album. It is a very gentle, soft song. Makes me want to fly away. 8/10
Overall, I think this is an amazing album by an exceptional artist. It is an album so full of passion and is typical Celine. The album is packed with amazing songs, great lyrics and exceptional vocals. It is a combination of big ballads and upbeat tunes, with the occasional slower song chucked in. If you enjoy this album, I suggest you listen to her album Let's Talk About Love, which is equally as good. I'll be amazed if you don't like it.

i really love this album its a really loving genuine album which has heartfelt songs. some of my favourite songs of all time are on this album including all by myself and its all coming back to me. celine dion has ann absolutely lovely voice which is very powerful. she has really lovely lyrics in all her songs. the music compliments all her songs very well. this is the type of cd that you put on when you want a relaxing night in. its quite an old album but is definately worth listining too. it appeals to people of all ages both myself and my mother love this album and there is a substantial difference of age between us. because you loved me is also on the cd which is a really popular tyrack with many people. a song called i love you is also on this cd which is a beautiful song one of my altime favourites
I think Celine Dion is more appealing to the older generation, but who cares because anyone with half decent hearing will appreciate Celine Dion. I know everybody has different tastes and opinions but even if you don't like her music there is no denying she has a superb voice. Some of the songs on this album have great backing music that complement her perfect vocals.
This album leaves you feeling happy and the rythm stays with you throughout the day. I guarantee that you will sing along and remember the tunes and the words long after you finish listening to the album.
So, don't listen to anyone who tells you this lady is for the oldies only. Listen to the album and make up your own mind, (you don't have to tell anyone if you don't want to).
The best trak on the album is....why don't i leave it for you to decide.
Now, you can call me cheesy but I have at least three albums of Celine Dion's and this is one of them, actually got this particular album from my sister's collection.
'Falling into you, this dream could come true, falling like a leaf, falling like a star...'
I love this particular track and Celine's voice and vocals flow really well in this song making it a really interesting track to listen to among others on this album.
'If That's What It Takes' is my favourite track on this album and I have listened to it over and over again with tears welling up on occassion... yup, I am a hopeless romantic:)
This album also has other popular tracks like 'Because You Loved Me', 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now', 'All By Myself' and 'Call the Man' which were hits in their own right.
Celine Dion has career spanning over 20 years, she has got a great voice and absolutely fantastic vocals with the ability to reach pitches not many artists have or could. Although 'My Heart Will Go On' is not on this album, it is one of the her greatest hits that featured in the Titanic and if you have not listened to her other tracks, that is the sort of vocal ability I am talking about.
This album is great! If you love ballads/love songs, you will love this album. It has got a couple of upbeat tracks including 'Make You Happy' which is great to dance to too.
It's would be great to chill out to and relax to, think lovely romantic thoughts; though try not to listen to after a breakup!:)

For some reason in the 1990s, there was something about Cline Dion that appealed to me, and it wasn't just her music, it was her story and how she came through to become a worldwide success singing in English when French is her first language. Coupled with her immense vocal range and her ability to stun a crowd with a virtuoso performance, she is a very appealing performer. Falling Into You is her 21st album, but only the 4th in English. It was released in 1996, and features a few instantly recognisable tracks from a decade or so ago when she was storming the charts.
It's All Coming Back To Me Now
Because You Loved Me
Falling Into You
Make You Happy
All By Myself
Declaration Of Love
Dreamin' Of You
I Love You
If That's What It Takes
I Don't Know
River Deep, Mountain High
Call The Man
There are a few recognisable tracks on here that she released, the most notable probably being the first two on the album. It's All Coming Back To Me Now was a big hit that used the wide vocal range she has and showed her class as a musical diva. Because You Loved Me gives a softer side of her voice, and against showcases the variation she can lend a track with her voice.
The quality of the songwriting is also present throughout the album, and there are actually some tracks on here which, while not being as commercial as those that were released as singles, are actually musically better, and more critically acclaimed. Tracks such as Declaration Of Love and I Don't Know are very well written and put together, as well as being lyrically profound.
The construction of the album is very good, and I like her versions of a couple of favourites: All By Myself and River Deep, Mountain High. These seemed the more fun tracks on the album, where she could really let herself go and enjoy singing classic tracks originally performed by strong vocal females in the past.
Overall, it's a well made album. There are however, a few weaker tracks, and it does all sound rather the same for the majority of the album. The commercial aspect seems to have been focused on more rather than a more technically sound and balanced album, and I didn't a feel of personal touch coming through, so much as getting the feeling of love ballad after love ballad, with just a change in vocal levels being the key difference.
That having been said, what the album does do is play to Celine Dion's strengths, and that is the strong powerful vocal diva aspect, and that is ultimately what sells albums: playing to someone's strengths. I still have this album, but my musical tastes have changed a lot since the mid-90s. This is no longer an album I choose to play, but if I hear a track from it every now and then I still appreciate the musical quality involved with it. The album is readily available on the internet, and don't expect to pay that much for it, either.
STUNNING album! you know I'm a young girl & i personally think celine dion is more appealing to the older generation, but my mum is quite young and she totally loves celine dion and it was my mum who has got me listening to her. When I'm in a bad or a good mood, want a good cry or a good smile shes perfect to listen to as she does a few upbeat, put a smile on your face songs and also a few love songs which can make the tears stream down your face. I know alot of people dislike celine dion, but to be honest I dont understand why, I know everybody has different tastes and opinions but even if you dont like her music there is no denying she has a superb voice. So ladies especially if you want a good cry one night to yourself 'cause the man in your life is doing you wrong, or you want to have a little jig and sing along whilst doing your cleaning on your own, this is the album to listen to.
Celine Dion... What can I say? One word Fabtastic!
I don't understand these people who dislike ANY of Celine's tracks. Her voice is amazing!
Yes we all have different taste but personally I think she is one of the world's BEST singers.
On this album we have the following tracks:
1. It's All Coming Back to Me Now
2 Because You Loved Me (Theme From "Up Close & Personal")
3. Falling Into You
4. Make You Happy
5. Seduces Me
6. All by Myself
7. Declaration of Love
8. Dreamin' of You
9. I Love You
10. If That's What It Takes
11. I Don't Know
12. River Deep, Mountain High
13. Call the Man
If you like, slow ballads with a women with a very strong voice Celine is the women to listen to.
She has recently released called Taking Chances... This album is brilliant, she does really take chances with her new upbeat songs, to me she suits singing all.
Take a chance and buy this album!
Falling Into You is Celine Dion's fourth Grammy award winning English speaking studio album. This album is full of powerful ballads. The best being It's All Coming Back To Me Know. This is a truly great song on an otherwise disappointing album. The title track is very monotonous as is All By Myself. The other songs on the album seem to merge into one long drawn out high note. I feel this album was made in haste because of the success of the previous album the Colour Of My Love and there was no real thought put into it. It's All Coming Back To Me Now is a great song but it is not worth buying a whole album for do not make the mistake I did, try to get hold of a copy of the single, or even better download it from itunes as the single was release a good few years ago now!
This has got to be a classic, released away back in 1996. If you have to buy a Celine Dion Album, then this is the one. It has many classic pop songs such as: It's all coming back to me now, because you loved me and falling into you. This is Celine Dion at the near beginning of her classic pop career, not her ultimate best work but it's a great start if you are wanting to remind yourself of her earlier work.
It's a nice album to unwind to, or even doing your housework, very laid back and soft sounding, with a couple of power ballads to keep you interested. You will be surprised how many songs that you actually know. However you will probably find yourself listening to the first half of this album more than the second half. Simply because the better songs seem to be all set up at the beginning of the album, but don't let it put you off. It's a nice album to have in you album collection and you may find that it's great to listen to and unwind after a rough day at work.
Going back in time a bit , 12 years to be exact and the release of Celine Dions album "Falling into You" , a lot of people I've spoke to never liked the woman, I'm not sure why but given that I do appreciate a good ballad and a good female voice, it's hard not to like her in my opinion. Sure after Titanic she was a bit hard to get away from, but let's not let that take away from her wonderful singing and her excellent array of hits.
Released in March 96, This album came at the very height of Dions career, looking at the track list you'd be convinced that this may well be a greatest hits as there were so many belters on there.
The title single "Falling into You" was the first to be released, although it's a good song I think it was just a pre-cursor of god things to come when she moved on to "Because you Loved" . This was possibly the best song on the album, wonderful sweet ballad that showcased Celines voice to the hilt.
"It's all coming back to me now" is without doubt the most powerful track and probably one of the most played on any karaoke machine you'll fine as girls love to try and emulate this fantastic song, unfortunately Celines voice is not the easiest to copy and many will sound like wailing cats but the effort is appreciated!
Overall this is a brilliant album with great song after great song. If you're a fan of the genre seek it out.
Celine Dion was born in a small town 30 miles east of Montreal in Canada, she is the youngest child and has 13 siblings.
Her parents were both musicians so it is no wander she has such a passion for music.
She won the Eurovision song contest in 1988, the year i was born and in 1990 she released unison which was her first album, on the 17th december 1994 she married Rene Angelil.
Released in 1996 falling into you became the best selling album that year, there are 16 songs on the album
1 its all coming back to me now, this is a very catchy love song.
2 because you loved me, which was the theme tune to the film up close and personal
3 falling into you, which is a very strong song
4 make you happy
5 seduces me
6 all by myself, which is another very stong song
7 declaration of love
8 natural woman
9 dreamin of you
10 i love you
11 if thats what it takes
12 i dont know
13 river deep, mountain high

I absolutley love Celine Dion, her voice is very strong, she is very talented and is very passionate about music which shows in her songs, to produce music as good as she does you realy have to have a love for it.
Celine will always be Celine. Eighter you like or not.
But the product will always be a good one for any fan of this type of music.
She won't win any new fans, but sure won't lose any.
As always, good quality album.
If you never heard her sing in french, you should start now. Her voice is even better on her frnch albums, as she works the song with more melody. This artist will conquer the world...even more .....
