**Introduction**

When I set out to review a load of albums in a row this one was not even in my plans as I had never heard of it before. That was until a very strange and funny thing happened late last night. I don't know what came over me but for some reason I typed in the word Farting into the Dooyoo search and the only result it came up with was this album due to the title "Far". I decided to go and check Tina Dico out and ended up downloading this album.

**Tina Dico**

After the farting prompt I googled her name and had a look to find out a little about her. She's a 31 year old Dane who released her first album "Fuel" in 2001 and has worked with Zero 7 before which Is probably where I recognise the name and voice from. Although she uses the name Tina Dico her surname is actually Dickow which she uses in her native Denmark. To date she has released six albums including this EP.

**The Music**

Tina Dico's music is a combination of Folk rock and acoustic material which I think gives her emotive voice the chance to shine. Although I have heard many better vocalists she uses her voice well and puts in a good performance. Although much of the music is subtle is gives her the best backing to get her lyrics and vocals across.

**Far**

1.) Warm Sand
2.) Break of the day
3.) Boys and Girls
4.) Haunted
5.) Let's get lost
6.) Back where we started

This six-track EP opens with "Warm Sand" which is a subtle song which has gentle drumming and guitar with her voice sounding emotive and clear. I really like the progression of this track as towards the end it opens up and the result is a very good song. "Break of Day" is up next and this is another good track, This has a kind of female David Gray sound. this is a very flowing track which has a great melody and her voice has good clarity and detail.

Track three "Boys and Girls" changes the pace of the EP with a really beautiful track with her voice accompanied by the gentle acoustic guitar and a male vocal. This track showcases the clarity and tone of her voice really well. A very good track indeed. Next up we have "Haunted" which has an intro which sounds a little like the BB Mak hit "Back here" from a few years ago. The mood then changes with the electric guitar and then this track blends into a really strong track which sounds like Gemma Hayes mixed with Tori Amos. This makes for a very good combination indeed.

Now we come to the final two tracks on this EP. "Let's get lost"
is the penultimate track and Is another slow track, this one has a particularly nice drum beat which is taut and adds a nice touch alongside the gentle musical backing with her vocals sounding very good. This does sound familiar but I can't think where I would have heard it. Now we come to the final track on this EP. "Back where we started" is the closer and is another really gentle acoustic ballad. Her voice sounds really emotive and is over a beautifully mellow acoustic guitar melody. This is a great track to end on.

**Overall**

I have not heard any other solo material from Tina Dico so going on this I am certainly going to check out more of her music as she has a really nice voice that has a great purity to it. Although this EP only features six tracks there's enough to get a feeling of what she has to offer, And thanks to my intended research into Dooyoo flatulence I have now found another artist in the female singer songwriter category that I am a fan of. I will check out her other material and I have seen her other albums on here so I will review them if I buy any of them.

Someone didn't think too hard about the elision of Far and Tina when they titled the album, did they? Or maybe it was done deliberately so that people would come across it by accident as you did.
