Salim-Sulaiman is probably my most favorite composers among all the young musicians around. They have proved their mettle once again with Fashion's OST.
'Fashion Ka Jalwa' is a heavy, powerpacked song which features heavyduty vocals by Sukhwinder Singh who takes you by storm yet again. Sukhwinder takes us through the twists and tweaks of the song and his powerful vocals make a huge impression.
Shruthi Pathak's sensuous voice rules 'Mar Jawan' which is easily one of the best tracks of that year. The composition carries a lot of oomph and a lot of attitude and so does Shruthi's voice. This is trademark Salim-Sulaiman since it carries a bit of Arabic influences,a bit of sufi and fantastic chorus by Salim himself.Play this on the repeat mode folks! Its addictive.
Whenever you see Mohit Chauhan's name in the singer's column you expect a quality song, and 'Kuch Khaas' doesn't disappoint. Along with Neha Bhasin, the two singers present us with a romantic track that carries a lot of soul and meaningful lyrics. Another beautiful track.
Salim Merchant goes solo with 'Aashiyana'-a retro/pop song which works well due to its lounge feel to it. The song is not as good as the previous tracks but its worth listening nevertheless.
The album's last original piece happens to be the 'Theme of Fashion' which is one fantastic instrumental piece. Salim-Sulaiman is renowned for their background score capabilities(they score half of all the major blockbusters in india) and this track takes you through the whole roller coaster ride.An amazing experience this!
All the tracks appear again as remixed version which only adds to the fun!
Fashion's OST doesn't have too many songs, but all the songs are quality checked and 'Mar Jawan' and 'Kuch Khaas' are both addictive.
