Advantages: great musicianship

Disadvantages: pricey

I first heard of Lamb in ninety-six when they released their debut album, I then didn’t hear much about them until they released their second album; 'Fear of fours'.
Lamb may not be the average 'top of the pops' teen-band. But they are certainly very talented.

Lamb have most certainly lived up to their first album, by combining traditional instruments (double basses, pianos, toms, acoustic guitars, and saxaphones) with more modern instruments, like drum machines, decs, and keyboardswith this album, their second album, the lead singer of this band is a female artist, with a soft but powerful, beautiful voice, the sort of voice that engulfs you.

The music is a mix of drum + bass/ jazz/ chillout, and they mix it well, it's the sort of music that if you wanted to just put your feet up and relax, you could, if you want to dance to it, you can. the music is a real range, producing songs like 'all in your hands', which is quite funky, and jazzy- to 'bonfire' which is a very up-beat fast and dancey song. The instruments range from the decs to a double bass, and all musicians are of a fantastic quality (especially the tom).

If you like Faithless,Massive Attack, Portishead, then check them out, you probably will like this.

The album is a good length and doesn't waver in terms of quality throughout the album.
The album may be pricey, but it is worth every penny.

There is also a new album coming soon, which I believe will be less traditional in terms of instrumentation, which will make an interesting change.
