Rating:
An album for drum fans. Need I say more? (Better had, I don't think dooyoo would let me get away with that even if I just scraped the word count with the tracklist - which you're not supposed to do, by the way). This album is abominable. Brutal death metal is supposed to be an acquired taste and severely off-putting for the casual listener, but it would be a hard case to defend Brodequin's second album as anything other than an embarrassment. It's certainly got all the speed and intensity of its enjoyable predecessor, but the production job is so mind-meltingly shoddy that you have to question whether anyone actually bothered to listen to the thing before ...
Products similar to Festival Of Death - Brodequin
Massive Killing Capacity - Dismember
Endlessly catchy guitar riffs and successful melodic experimentation.
Central songs are less memorable.
Master Of The Moon - Dio
Effective re-tread of Dio's 1990s sound.
Still essentially a throwback, and a dull one at that.
Metatron - Darkwell
Commendably unusual and varied, with great vocals.
Frequently bland and dull.
Mind Tricks - Disarmonia Mundi
Pleasant choruses.
Soilwork knock-off.
My Name Is Joe - Joe
Consistant quality
A couple of tracks let it down
Negation - Decapitated
Hard, quick, fast and some great guitar solos
A few unmemorable tracks
Nightwork - Diabolical Masquerade
Atmospheric, melodic, intense.
Easy to drift away in the slower sections.
Nihility - Decapitated
Heavier.
Less tolerable.
Nespithe - Demilich
Complex and extreme, yet somehow still catchy.
Not for the faint-hearted or pregnant women.
