Advantages: Good Tracks, Good Music
Disadvantages: none
Well we all know just where the story of Kylie started and that was with her playing her role in Neighbours along side her screen husband Jason Donovan. They appeared for years in the show and won the hearts of a lot of people when the show was at it's height. After this she went to Pete waterman who once again knowing her popularity started her on her recording career as a singer, often teaming her up again with Jason for duets. At this point she was reaching the pinnacle of her earlier career, it seemed she could do no wrong in the eyes of the general British public and maybe rightly so. But after this she married the lead singer of Aussie group Inxs and after a somewhat turbulent marriage she returned to the music business releasing some of her newer albums like Lightyears which was a far cry from the kylie we used to know. After this she had quite a lot of critics watching her, which is just one of the pains of being a high profile celebrity. But basically all eyes were on her to see what she would do next, by the way she has a album released called 50 plus 1 , which is literally 51 tracks that include her classics like I should Be So Lucky, but is only available from importers at about £12.00. A cheap way to get your hands on a great deal of Kylies past work if you like it. Anyway back to the present and her latest release which is Fever , this album again is a total different style for kylie which is a lot more orientated on the dance genre. this music style seems to be doing a great deal for kylie as her latest release pipped Victoria Beckam to the no1 slot. Personally I much prefer this style of music but some of the songs remind of work done by the earlier techno dance stle groups of the late eighties where they used tricks like electronic voicing etc. But anyway as a whole this album to me anyway is a lot better than a lot of her earlier work and she's promoting it in the biggest way she can by wearing some of the most revealing sex
y style clothing that decency will allow. She does not leave too much too imagine but at least she will not be getting her videos banned for being too raunchy. the glamour side of her career will definatley be helping this albums sales. here are her album Tracklists for Fever. 1 - More More More This is quite a good song with a catchy beat, one of those that grows on you the more that you listen to it. 2 - Love at first sight This also has a catchy tune to it but it is done more like a mid 90's dance tune somewhat slow in style with pop style singing to it 3 - Can't get you out of my head Everyone knows this with it's number 1 chart success and rightly so as it has a good beat to it and nice dancy tune that went down just as well on the club scene as well as the charts 4 - Fever This one is also an excellent tune but the music is done more in a 80's dance style with electronic type music that you could expect to hear from kraftwerk but it has a great song with the tune to make it another hit. 5 - Give it to me This song once again is done in a more 80's style dance tune with electronic drmbeats and a sound that can only be like a single ring from a phone repeated through the track, though it is not as bad as it sound the tune is not going to be one of the best but it is quit alright 6 - Fragile this track steps away from the dance style to a slowley sung pop style of song that is a more relaxing sort of tune that you can easily relax to. 7 - Come into my world This is once again a dance tune with a more slow sung song to it than you expect with dance tunes , so you can easily sit back and relax and enjoy this tune. More like a chillout sort of track 8 - In your eyes Not too bad but it wasn't one of my favourites as i thought that the thud of the bass stle thump in the song was a bit too much for the t
rack and that it would have been better if it was quietened off a bit but the song itself is still enjoyable 9 - Dancefloor This song is more pop style that we would expect from kylie and is quite good, the song reminds me more of the work on her last album Lightyears 10 - love affair This one is unlikely to be any No1 but is another song that is good as a background sort of music that you can relax to and listen to easily whether you are in your home or driving your car 11 - Your love Another slower song that reminds you of the pop songs released by Kylie in her early days but is still light and refreshing to listen to, put your feet up with this one. 12 - burning up This is a song that is done with of a bit of a electronic voice added in places to complement kylies own, however it is obvious that this song was made to just help fill the album as this one is worth skipping . Anyway kylie is meant to be launching a new tour next year and this will no doubt help boost her album sales. She has had a long and varied career and in my eyes with the release of the above mentioned album has only got better. It is definatley a album that is worth having to complement your cd collection. Worth going to CDWOW to get this album for cheap.
