      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not necessary if you have the other albums

Final Descent is an album by Samhain and you can see where the band are heading, basically this album is Danzig in all but name (the name was changed shortly after), it was put together in 1990 and has some previously unreleased tracks as well as some which were only available on the first pressing of Initium. There are two different versions of the album - the 1990 one and the 2001 one, they have different tracks on, generally the 1st is better but the second has "Trouble" on it.

Death..In It's Arms has some nice slow doomy riffs but it's like a poor version of "She Rides"

Night Chill however has a different feel, an electronic track making use of a keyboard and some spooky effects - it's a haunted yet jolly track, sort of ambient graveyard if you will. Surprised it hasn't been used in a D-list horror film yet (well it might have, will have to ask hogsflesh!)

Another track making use of keyboards succesfully is Danzig's superb cover of the Elvis song - "Trouble", Danzig absolutely nails it using his unique blend of Elvis & Jim Morrison vocals.

The production is ropey and the tracks which can be found on Danzig's 1st album are far superior on there than here. Lords of the Left Hand along with the cover of Trouble are definitely the best tracks on the album. It's not an awful album but it stands up poorly in comparison to November Coming Fire, Danzig and even Initium.
