"Finding Forever" came out in 2007 , and was the seventh album from the conscious Chicago rapper, Common. It has him return with an album which doesn't require a big single, as he had finally made it as a mainstream act with his last album, "Be". 1. "Intro" 2. "Start The Show" I saw this as a great way to get things going as you have Common taking on some beats from Kanye West, and seeing how the last album when (with 'Ye producing the majority of the thing) it can be assumed that similar results will come of this. 1. Intro 5/5- Nice way to set the mood for this kind of album, sounds very eclectic, like suntin my pops would play for my moms on his keyboard lol 2. Start The Show 4.5/5- The beat couldve been a little better, but Kanye did a nice job on da hook, and Common as always on tracks like these, spits venom wit energy, and we always end up guessing who he\'s going at, with lines like: \"12 monkeys on stage, hard to see who\'s gorilla, you was better as a drug dealer\" ?? Interesting and chaotic technical-thrash metal.
Few songs stand out above the rest.
So Red The Rose - Arcadia
Experimental and atmospheric, but retains a pop sensibility.
The softer songs sound rather similar.
New Age Of Earth - Ashra
Retro ambience for Tangerine Dream fans.
Not up to the standards of its competitors, a disappointing change of direction.
Hed Kandi - The Mix 2008
Dance & Electronic - House & Garage - 2007
End Of The Weakness - Archeon
High quality debut replicating the Children of Bodom sound.
Not as good as the obvious influences.
Daredevil - Soundtrack
Loadsa great rockin tunes, not too heavy. 20 tracks in all.
coupla bad tracks (or at least not to my taste)
Beyond The Dark - Ancara
Nice atmosphere and high production values.
Far too short, lacking in intensity and overly ballad-based.
Artimus Pyledriver - Artimus Pyle
Another entertaining sludge album.
The same as all the rest.
Angels In America - Thomas Newman - Soundtrack
A perfect blend of traditionality with off-beat modernism
Fractured presentation with a couple of disruptive source songs
A Long March - As I Lay Dying
Previously rare material made available.
It's unrefined, unimpressive metalcore.
