Riot was the 3rd album by New York rockers Riot and was released in 1981, somewhere between hard rock and heavy metal, it's an album filled with tuneful guitar songs that range from fairly relaxed hard rock tracks to metal in the vein of Motley Crue. A good example of the latter is the first track on the album "Swords and Tequila" which to be fair is probably not just the catchiest but also the best track of the album. A lot of the songs seem to start off with excellent riffs and then peter out a little bit and many of the tracks sound relatively similar, the vocals aren't bad but there is nothing outstanding about them either.
