A fun EP from an exciting young group (even if they do seem to be a bit averse to releasing records!) The band :( (colonopenbracket) have a name that is: a) Annoying for record store employees to shelve b) Tricky to find online without the correct title The deliberate obtuseness of their name seems to go hand in hand with the band's outlook in general - enjoyable tracks with lots of energy and a willful disregard for convention. Almost all the music on this release is remarkably low-tech, with old synths and a range of music generated with some sneakily adapted gameboys!
