Just when you thought he was finished (Flaming Pie - Paul McCartney)

Advantages: Paul at his solo best Disadvantages: Some boring jammed tracks
After a decade of dwindling sales, Macca returns with a fantastic album that is both reflective, intelligent and extremely catchy. Based primarily on an acoustic feel, Flaming Pie contains collaborations with Jeff Lynne of ELO, Steve Earle and Ringo Starr, and is worthy of a nomination for the best Nineties album. Written primarily about Linda, the songs are made even more poigniant by the fact that she died shortly after. "Calico Skies" is one of the greatest love songs ever written. Buy it, you'll love it.
