The song is a fast paced 4 chord number and sings about being out on a Friday night, money in pocket, where everything that you want is available for a price. Whether this refers to drugs, prostitution or simply drink is left to the listener to decide. Shelley's backing vocals in the chorus perfectly complement Pete's voice. Background --------------- The Buzzcocks, for those who do not know, are the legendary punk band from Manchester. They were contributors to the punk rock explosion of the late seventies and played gigs alongside iconic punk bands such as The Clash, Damned and Sex Pistols.
