I was a very lucky boy way back in 1994, when a friend of mine handed my this brand new album. It really is one of the greatest albums you’ll ever listen to. I have been a fan ever since, and was shocked to find David Gray finally hitting the big-time only last year. For those of you who like “White ladder” his new and most popular album, you simply MUST listen to him at his best. Flesh is so much better than “white ladder” simply in the depth of the songs and the way each one picks you up, carries you along, and places you gently down again leaving you feeling like something really just happened to you. This album is Davids 2nd outing and I will say his best and most poetic of all 4, although, they are all great! It starts with 'What are you' which is building the bricks with which to start this album on - strong, moving, compelling. (and great live!) The next is 'The Light' and very moving again. But it's got to be the fourth track 'Falling Free' which sums up this entire album - I tear up everytime I hear it (which is quite sad i know, but the only other song that has done that to me is 'Angel' by Robbie Williams).
