I bought this album when it first came out, off the back of their single 'Life Is A Flower', which itself was a top ten smash. It is definitely one of my better album buys and is an album that fans of Swedish pop should check out. Who are they: Swedes, Jenny, Linn, Ulf and Jonas. The four write their own material and have scored a number one hit in the UK with 'All That She Wants.' Kind of music on the album: Ace Of Base provide great pop melodies with a eurodance edge to them and fuse reggae into their music too. his album is mainly pop driven with some ballads included too. Ace of Base are a fantastically cheerful pop band from Sweden, made up of Ulf Ekberg, Jonas Berggren, Jenny Berggren, and at the time that 'Flowers' was produced, Linn Berggren, though Linn has now left the band and her part in 'Flowers' is quite small compared to the band's previous 2 albums, 'Happy Nation' (1993) and 'The Bridge' (1995). Flowers was released in June 1998 and was declared by the band to be their best album yet, and I have to agree. If you've never heard anything by Ace of Base then imagine a more modern Abba with faster beats and you will be somewhere close.
