I only heard about blackstone cherry a couple of years back when they were the support acts for another concert I went to. They are an American rock band, their sound falls under the category of southern rock and hard rock. The band consists of Chris Robertson (lead vocals, guitar) who I must say has an amazing and unique voice, Ben Wells (guitar, backing vocals) who definitely has a stage presence about himself, John Fred Young (drums, backing vocals) and Jonathan lawhon (bass guitar and backing vocals). These guys make up one of best rock bands I've heard of in a while.

Folklore and Superstition was the first album I'd listened to by them however it was their second album they released, and I was hugely impressed. This album has great potential and some great songs on it all wrote by the band members themselves. My favourite songs being peace is free which is as you can guess a song about war, I've heard versions of this song done acoustically and their amazing It's a very touching moving song. The other favourite of this album is things my father said which Chris wrote about the death of his father. It's such a sweet song and you can really hear the emotion in his voice when he's singing, this song always brings a tear to my eye it also has a moving video to it too including the band member's fathers. I've seen blackstone cherry live four times now and this is the song that always gets the crowd going and singing along.

I'd recommend any fans of rock music to go out and buy this album you won't be disappointed blackstone cherry are very raw talent and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. The album consists of 13 songs all as good as the next, prices on the album vary from £3.50-9 definitely worth the money though I'd say.
