Advantages: The best songwriter of the last 10 years
Disadvantages: none
I find it utterly pointless to give a history of something just to pad out my 150 words.
Justin Vernon + Log Cabin = For Emma For Ever
This albums is simply one one the greatest album made in the last 20 years. In world full of corporate music and the the overkill of the so called bands you should listen to this album stands out like a shining light.
From Opening track Flume which showcases the harrowing brilliance and tortured voice of Justin Vernon i knew i was in for a treat.
Each song flows with a melancholic i hope never to experience but adds to the decide mystery of the man and the band.
The Album you think would peak and as did i when i heard Wolves Part I and II but then i was treated to the sheer genius that is creature fear.
My Wife and I were fortunate enough to see this band twice once recently but most notablally in London and they had a sing-along to Wolves so emotional that i came out of the gig in tears.
Just when you think this album is over you stumble across the track of the album in my opinion RE:Stacks which is has strings, the beatuty of Justin Vernon and a sense of total despair you cant cant get until you have hit rock bottom.
I think this is the best album of the century behind In Rainbows but it runs it close. But i also think its a very personal album
Summary: Just buy this album
