 ... and indulging should console you, the musicianship is excellent, the guitar work is outstanding and actually rather rocky. The vocals are easy to like and if anything Caravan sound like a witty, fun, thoughtful, talented and progressive rock version of The Beatles! It's not all guitars though as there are some rather impressive orchestral sections. This album took me by surprise, I didn't expect much from it but it was really rewarding. I've been meaning to have a listen to a Caravan album recently as I've not heard too much about the "Canterbury Sound", initially giving the whole prog rock genre a wide-berth, I've warmed to it in recent years. This album is the band's 3rd release and the first I came across, it generally seems to have been touted as their best work . It was the humorous name which drew me to it though!
