      Very helpful

      good consistant punk album

For monkeys is the third studio album from the punk band millencolin. It was released in 1997 and although is not my favourite album from the band, it does contain some really great punk songs.

The first song off the album is titled puzzle and it kicks off the album well, it's a fast paced punk song like most of their work but it seems almost a sad song from the band, not sung in the most upbeat style but this echo's what the song is about as well.

Luzin must is one of my favourite songs off the album, it just seems that he's singing this one with all he's got, I must give him a ten out of ten for efforts on this one and it really comes out in the song as well, the lyrics are great and backed up by some really good fast drumming and even better guitar switching from power chords to palm muted quickly and seamlessly.

Twenty two is also another really great song off the album, its perhaps one of their more modern pieces, I mean that in that its quite turned down from their usual punk fast tracks and I can see a lot of people who arnt that into punk really liking this and getting into the band too. Its a lot slower than a lot of their other songs but they do it without losing their trademark style and without losing any fans either no doubt about it.

      1. Puzzle
      2. Lozin' Must
      3. Random I Am
      4. Boring Planet
      5. Monkey Boogie
      6. Twenty-Two
      7. Black Gold
      8. Trendy Winds
      9. Otis
      10. Lights Out
      11. Entrance at Rudebrook
      12. Low Life

For monkeys did certainly contain some really great songs, perhaps none are in my top songs by the band however it was definitely a sound album in terms of consistency from the band as all of the songs were pretty good rather than having some great and some not so. If you havnt checked out this band and you're into punk, or pop punk then this should be a band you may like.
