Premium Review Come Dance With Me (369 words)

Rating:

And so continues my adventures in the world of dance, as I chance upon yet another Clubland album. These albums are packed to the hilt with trancey hits, the kind of music you might hear in commercial clubs over a weekend or possibly on the Clubland music tv channel. Disc one is off to a poor start as a dubious cover of 'Hungry Eyes' gets underway. Dire vocals and some squeaky riffs ruin the essence of the original. Slightly better is the Friday Night Posse rerub of the grimy 'My Neck My Back' which succeeds in using the vocal and blending in some uplifting synths. Kelly Llorenna is back with a cover of an Alsou song, she pulls it off and the vocals are delivered with ...

of tracks and Artists , and a good mix between the recorded and live songs. I was particularly impressed with the way the live recordings mix in with the pre-recorded. If you love the clubland classics, then this is the album for you. A good mix between the dancing and the chilling, especially on disk one, and a very good track ...

Premium Review Ladies Grab Your Handbags, We're Goin' Ravin! (357 words)
by benlepensive - written on 11/08/09 (Very useful, 19 readings)
Rating:

I remember buying this album when it came out, as I was just getting into all the clubland stuff and it seemed like a good value purchase. I was not disappointed as it gave me many hours of listening pleasure! 36 tracks in total on here. Disc one gets off on a good foot with a sophisticated vocal turn on 'Irish Blue' from Flip n Fill, the track is polished production wise and should have been a bigger hit. Scooter go all shouty on 'Maria' and the song really grates, though they did dispense with the hideous high pitched vocals for this song. I adore the riff in 'Elements' by Neo Cortex which makes the hairs on your arms leap up, it is one of the disc's defining moments ...
