Advantages: look good

Disadvantages: very, very, very ordinary

No. The Corrs are exceptionally not good. They are middle of the road, happy clappy folk singers who look pretty good, but sound sensationally ordinary. There is not a lot new about this type of thing and it's not for me.

However, there are some little gems hidden amongst the repetoire. So Young is an excellent song as opposed to great music. It combines a good tune with a simple rhythm and is highly effective.

I am also a little bit concerned that they like to fit in the fiddles at any given opportunity. This is their thing, of course, but it is just too cliched. If you like this, fine, but I don't and I care little for what they offer.

However, that's only my opinion.

Plainly you are in a minority. Plain and simply they are a great group with their own style. I am at a loss to ex-plain (sorry, it's the only way I could get the third one in) why you find them less than thoroughly enjoyable!

I don't agree with you, but I gave you a 'useful' because your review was clear and you put your point across well. I love The Corrs, but I feel that they've forgotten about the Irish element, and yes, they do stick a bit of fiddle in there to pretend they haven't!
