Even though 'Frank' may be less well known than Amy's album 'Back To Black', it is a great album nonetheless. This album is of a jazz/soul genre, which is easily recognisable from Amy's powerful, chilled out voice and intelligent lyrics, as well as the chilled out, soulful background music. This album is a great album to put on as background music to chill out to, as well as to play and really listen in on the lyrics, to really interpret and analyse. In my opinion 'fck me pumps' is one of the best songs on the album showing Winehouse's great sense of humour and understanding about some celebrities' desperate attempts to grab men's attention, as Winehouse quotes 'your dream in life is to be a footballer's wife.' Drums/percussion instruments and also guitars and some sort of keyboard is used in this album creating the jazzy soulful sound. Also brass band instruments could also be used to create this sound. This album is very classy and sophisticated, without over sexualisation and instead with lyrics that you can sit back and interpret. The genre and chilled out sound of this album represent Amy's laidback approach to life and attitude, making Amy's music individual and something that is definatly worth a listen.
